As part of our growth strategy we are looking to add graduate Technicians / Analysts to our experienced team of analytical scientists who support our clients in ensuring studies are delivered to a high level of quality.

Key responsibilities and duties of a Technician / Analyst:
• To follow standard operating procedures and ensure data records are updated and accurate
• To be trained in the use of laboratory equipment including calibrating equipment; preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and maintaining equipment inventories
• To preparing samples for analysis, using a variety of sample preparation techniques and tools
• To possess a flexible working style working closely with the Laboratory Manager and other team members to deliver projects on time
• To set high personal standards to ensure studies are delivered to the high level of quality
• To be self-motivated and enthusiastic to work as part of a growing and developing Analytical Team
• Maintain a positive culture of safety in the laboratory and follow all health and safety requirements
• Ambitious and keen to learn new techniques across the Chemistry Team (such as GLP procedures, new analytical techniques, sample preparation processes and developing and validating methods)
• Aspirations to progress to Study Director and to take on their own studies and client responsibilities
Candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications:
• A positive attitude with a desire to grow and develop within a scientific environment
• Enthusiastic to work in a fast-paced laboratory as part of a dynamic team with a willingness to learn and develop
• Experience of chemistry practical work. e.g. Basic chemistry analysis, standard preparations, wet chemistry techniques and preferably experienced in chromatographic techniques such as HPLC or other chromatographic techniques (IC, GC, LC etc) and / or ICP analysis
• Strong scientific mindset, excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
• Desired qualifications; preferably BSc in Analytical Chemistry OR relevant discipline
The ideal candidate will possess:
• The aptitude to learn new skills, ensure accurate data recording, and to be able to follow procedures precisely
• Practical experience of sample preparation techniques
• Practical experience of HPLC or other chromatographic techniques and / or ICP analysis
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• A strong attention to detail and drive for high levels of quality
• A desire to work in a highly regulated industry ensuring sustainability for the future
• Knowledge or experience of working to GLP (or other quality management system)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
