Who are Oxford Analytical Services?
Located in Bicester, Oxford analytical services is a privately owned, state of the art analytical laboratory.
Our main goal is to provide high quality analytical reporting for quality compliance including good laboratory practice or GLP. Our lab was established in 1989 and so for over 20 years we’ve met the GLP requirements of both our clients and regulatory authorities around the world.
We’ve seen a healthy growth in the industry with significant changes in regulations that drive our customers’ needs. There has been a big change in the market with a huge drive behind sustainability. With this now being a key pillar of most businesses goals, we are looking to specialise our services in this area – watch this space! We will ensure our client’s sustainability needs are met, no matter how complex their sample formulations will become.
How do we start with samples?
All samples start with an in depth inspection to ensure the correct sample transport protocols (such as temperature and timing transport) have been met.
Then they’re logged into our laboratory systems, following our internal compliance procedures. All samples are given a unique ID number that allows the sample to be tracked throughout its entire lifecycle.
Once testing is ready to begin, the samples are sent to various instruments such as:
- High Performance Liquid Chromatography
- Liquid Chromatograph
- Mass Spectrometry Inductively Coupled Plasma ion Chromatography
- Gas Chromatography
- Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry for analysis
After all the samples have been tested our analysts will compile the results. This data will be reviewed by our study directors and is then processed through our quality assurance department prior to being shared with the client.
